Can my one year-old PowerBook G4 (1 Ghz) use DVD+RWs? I have a HP
DVD+RW and PowerBook ejects this DVD+RW after it is being inserted.

I'm having a problem starting up from a CD-Rom rather than the Startup disc
of my Mac.
I tried to run DiskWarrior from the CD just now, restarting the Mac while
holding down the command key, chose the CD option then, as it was going

Plug in one of my battery today, and it read 22 hours! Wonder what's
going on....Should I keep running it until it dies to see if the battery
really lasts 22 hours :-)?

My Powerbook G4 667 MHz w/ 512 MB is becoming a dog. Even the simplest
things, such as opening a control panel, are taking 5-10 seconds.

Someone just gave me a 3400. This is one step up from the loaded 1400 I
am currently using, plus it has an extra battery, making it a little
more useful. Can someone point me to a site where the optimum upgrades
(in terms of performance and value) for this machine are discussed? ...

I'm in the process of trading in my G4 667 and am not sure whether to get a
15 and an external monitor or a 17. I use the PB as my home desktop and it
travels with me once a month or so.
The 17 would be more convenient on my desktop -- less footprint than a 15

A few nights ago, I fell asleep with iTunes playing music and the
pretty swirly colors going (sorry I don't know a better way to
describe that), and when I woke up a few hours later, the screen was

My Lombard Powerbook's cache memory went out last week. (The problem
seems very widespread on this particulier model.)
But would anybody know if this limited problem (the computer works fine)
is bad omen for the future ? Does this failure typically announce

Concerning the Apple PowerBook G4 12" and 15" models: does anyone know
what the maximum supported resolutions for non-DVI external monitors
are? Where is this information published?
