I cannot open the Windows Excel 2003 files sent to me by my accountant. I have Mac Excel 2008. It defaults to the Numbers program, part of Iworks. I need the full functions of Excel to work on the files...not ...

My Mac Book Pro locks up any time I'm running a program from Office 2008. I have downloaded the latest update from MS but it does not seem to fix this problem. Any ideas?

Well, *some* of it is corrected.  Anybody else see this?
According to Mactopia, these folders have the "502" owner after the GM
install:

As previous PC user my documents are organized in several layers of folder (folder - sub folder - sub sub folder, etc)

I want to change the sizes of the font in Word 08 for documents. Did they forget to put that in to the new Word? I don't want to have to go through text editor every time I need to change a font size.

Just updated from Office for Mac 2004, to 2008 (Expressions Media update). Upgrade went smoothly and all applications are performing as expected with one exception.

I am not sure what happened but I went to open MS Word 2008  and it
could not be found  on my Macintosh HD.  I opened the Time Machine
and Word was in one of th recent backups.  This is  the first time I
