I purchased the Office 2004/Office 2008 Special Promotion. Since this purhcase was done through Microsoft, is any furhter action required on my part to ensure the new software is delivered when it becomes available?

When I emailed a Word for Mac 08 document with a .docx suffix to my office PC and tried to open it in Word, the document would not open. I tried changing the suffix to .doc, but that was denied also.

One shortcoming of Word 2008 I've found is that after embedding an
