I have installed Office 2008, and am still trying to find my way around (I am a Mac newbie, with an MBP, previously using Parallels and Office XP) In Finder, there are two entries for each office application, one followed by "-U", i.e., Entourage-U

| AppleScript warning | 03 Feb 2008 22:09 GMT | 4 |
Hi, scripts written for older versions (especially X) may not work unchanged with 2008. I recommend using Script Editor to save all of your scripts as plain text files before even installing Office 2008! Apparently even if older versions are still on your hard drive 2008 takes ...

| Foreign languages in Office 2008 Home and Student | 03 Feb 2008 11:25 GMT | 6 |
I can't get any information on which languages Office 2008 Home and Student Edition has proofing tools for. Office 2004 gave me the capability of spellchecking in several foreign languages -- which I need. I have worked with Office 2007 for Windows, and that doesn't seem to allow

| Open Docs in Office Hangs System | 03 Feb 2008 04:09 GMT | 3 |
I tried asking about this over on the Apple boards, but no answers so far, so I'll try here.
I'm running OSX Server 10.4.11 (none of the other workstations are affected, so my assumption has been that this isn't a problem with the server software itself) on a MacPro 2 x 2.6GHz

| Upgrading Office version from 10.1.4 | 03 Feb 2008 03:14 GMT | 2 |
I recently lost my hard drive in a natural disaster but had backed up an older version of Office 2004. However, when I look at the Msoft Component Plugin, it is version 10.1.4. The icon looks pixelated like an old school mac icon. I know why the earlier upgrades are no longer offered
