| problem with Office2008/Mac and printing-to-PDF | 12 Feb 2008 05:58 GMT | 1 |
I have a MS Word (old document, originally a .doc) that I update every month, write to PDF (using the MacOSX builtin functionality) and pass the PDF along. Since updating to Office2008/Mac (Student/Home edition), the people I pass the PDF-ified document to are complaining of an error

I recently up graded my Mac operating system from 10.4.9 to system 10.5. Now when I try to open excel the message says that it is being used by me. It could be an issue with naming the computer. Everything worked before I installed the new system upgrade. It could be a software issue.

| Help | 12 Feb 2008 04:09 GMT | 1 |
In Office 2004 there was a 'Search' feature to let me find help on a specific point. In Office 2008 there are 30 min tutorials that don't answer my questions. Please does anyone know how to search help in office 2008.

| Leopard 10.5.2 combo updater released! | 12 Feb 2008 01:12 GMT | 2 |
This might help with a lot of the problems Office 2008 users are experiencing. Get this combo updater rather than using Software Updater to download. A combo updater will go back and rewrite files that could be corrupted. Software Updates are incremental updates.

| Can one see the cursor position at bottom of the page | 11 Feb 2008 21:44 GMT | 1 |
In Word X.v the inches from the page where the cursor was situated was displayed. Is this still available in 2008? Having the ruler on the side of the page is not as good.
Thanks.
