What are Microsoft Shift Asserts? Since installing Office 2008 I get these each time I quit - to a variety of servers usually sqm.microsoft.com but I have seen others via Little Snitch. Couldn't see references to these when I had a quick search on Google.

when i am in internet explorer looking at anything and close the window i get the error message that an error has occured and it needs to close. this happens no matter where i am looking. or what im looking at. what can cause this and how do I fix it?

I have installed Office 2008 beta perivously. Now I got the Final version of Office 2008 student version. Before I install, I did an Stupid thing: Direct drop the beta 2008 into the trush! Then when I try to install the final version, I just got the "Cannot find software" error.
