Remote Desktop in Microsoft Office 2004 folder14 Nov 2007 06:00 GMT7
I work at a community college in Canada. I teach Graphic Design and use a
Apple G4 Laptop running OS X 10.4. While I was looking through some folders
recently I noticed a folder called "Remote Desktop" buried in the Microsoft
Office 2004 folder. Has anyone ever seen this folder ...

I installed Office 2004 (and EndNote) after upgrading to Leopard 10.5
and something is amiss.
Three (probably related) symptoms I observed:
1. After the install, when opening Word, I'm greeted with the prompt:

I just purchased a new iMac
I also purchased another copy of office.
After office installed, the auto updater loaded the 11.3.9
Then later the auto updater wanted to install 11.3.8.

Installed Office 2004 update 11.3.9 when microsoft auto update pushed
it down this morning.  Any idea why it changed the name of my hard
drive to "v bc"?  Any idea what to do about that?

I'm running Mac OSX 10.4 on an iBook G4.  Earlier this year I wiped my
harddrive and reinstalled everything, and since then my OS
occasionally pulls up a black screen telling me that I have to restart
my computer.  I thought maybe it was something to do with wiping the

I am currently running Tiger, and have Office for Mac 2004 on my mac.
I want to upgrade to leopard, and I wish to inquire if my doing a
"Erase and Install" of OS X 10.5 Leopard will result in my losing of

I have Office for Mac 2004 on my MacBook Pro. I have had it since
April or June, and just recently some weird things have been
happening. When I go to create a new document, the Gallery doesn't
show all of the previews of the templates. Instead, it shows a black

Can't install Office 2004 on Leopard09 Nov 2007 06:31 GMT2
After a clean install of Leopard on my G5, I am unable to install
Office 2004 at all: the install window simply closes after I click on
the licensing dialog's Accept button.  I have tried repairing
permissions but of course Leopard's Disk Utility behaves very oddly in

ok, new offer came out that i could not resist....buy upgrade to
office 2004 for mac and when 2008 comes out, small upgrade fee....so i
bought it.
now, i have the program here and i was about to install it......then
