Win XP, Excel 2003, my home computer. I've placed a template in Excel's
XLStart folder. However it does not open automatically when Excel starts.  
How can I do this? I have tried placing the template in the XLStart folder in
C:\program files\office11\ as well as in C:\Documents ...

Accidently installed same serial on another networked machine.
Only discovered this a couple weeks later.
I believe there's an easier way to change the serial rather than
deinstall and reinstall, but the solution is not obvious by any means.

After searching the newsgroup postings for similar problems, none of
the previous solutions seem to work for me and I am at a loss as to
what the problem could be. Until recently office:mac 2004 was running
fine on my 12" ibook 1.33GHz but due to unforeseen coffee spillage :(,

i bought microsoft office 2003 for my pc, but i just got a macbook and
i'm wondering if the registration key would be compatible for the mac
so i don't need to buy the software again.

Can anyone help?  When I create a table in an Outlook message and use shading
within the table, when I print out the table the shading doesn't print.  It
does if I use Word and print out the same table, but not through Outlook.

We just bought for my school the Office for Mac education edition with
3 product keys.
The first key was used on a MacBook then when we install the software
on a Mac Mini the istallation  assistan never asked for another key...

Does anyone know if/when Office for Mac will be part of the Technet
subscription for download and product key access?

Can you tell me if there is an upgrade route for Office? We several
copies in the Windows version and want to migrate to MAC OSX on at
least one of our computers, possibly more in the future. Can you
