MS Word does not open21 Dec 2006 13:29 GMT3
I recently upgraded from OS 10.1.3 to 10.4.8 and also from MS Office 98
to 2004.  My Excel, PowerPoint and Entourage open fine but the Word
will not open, just gets stuck there on the introductory screen and I
have to Force Quit.  I already rebooted the computer.  What to do?
MS Money 2000 Import Error (obres:22063)21 Dec 2006 05:39 GMT1
I just bought MS Money 2007 Deluxe today.  I was able to easily set up data
imports from a couple of my financial institutions.  However, two banks that
are on the pick list are not working.  I receive the error message
obres:22063.  1 of the banks, it once actually showed me the ...

Macros virus on Macintosh - help save my files20 Dec 2006 12:39 GMT14
Is there any software, free or otherwise that will actually save the
documents that have been infected with a macros virus? I have ran
clamxav and it "quarantines" them, but in the end I have to either
delete them or try and copy the contents into another document.  I need
Dec 12 SECURITY UPDATE to version 11.3.1 to patch vulnerabilities20 Dec 2006 12:33 GMT9
I saw the  the update posted on versiontracker.com at:
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14980
Rather than download at that site, I updated by going under Entourage's Help
pulldown menu to "Check for Updates."
product key18 Dec 2006 16:21 GMT2
Is there some way to use the product key from the 2003 version for PC
that I just purchased for my new MacBook Pro? I was hoping I wouldn't
have to buy office again just because I got a mac!
Thanks.
update problem18 Dec 2006 11:33 GMT1
I installed the update for office X as directed. Now, when I try and
open a file in any Office application, I get an error meeage. I now
have to manually open the application before opening a file otherwise
the file will not open. What's the deal?

Info posted by Microsoft Security Response Center:
Customers who downloaded the pre-release security update for Office for Mac
on Tuesday should install this new update when it is released.  This new

Trying to use Outlook 2003 on a MacBook via Parallels17 Dec 2006 07:42 GMT2
Been using Boot Camp on a Mac Book and it is okay although it's a pain
to reboot, basically just to use Outlook, which is all I use Windows
for (tried iCal, Entourage, etc. -- not the same, at least for me; I
need Outlook). But when I loaded a trial version of Parallels, it
Office started to display Calendar items and other dates in German16 Dec 2006 19:03 GMT5
This might be strange. Entourage displays Calendar (months and days) in
German language. As well every file preference in Office displays dates
(months and days) in German language.
In International preferences I have set that my locale is in Slovenia.
Backup 3 and entourage15 Dec 2006 00:01 GMT1
I backed up my home folder with Backup 3. A week later my  Powerbook
crashed, and is in the shop for repair. I have rented an ibook, which
necessitated the reinstallation of Office 2004. I did so, then using my
external harddrive restored my files, including the Microsoft User
Premature Test Drive14 Dec 2006 22:46 GMT4
I am a new MacBook Pro owner. My Mac came with the Office 2004 Test
Drive, but I was holding off on installing it until after the holidays
when I would have more time to evaluate it. Today I received a license
file for another application which I was instructed to double-click to
Slightly off topic: Remove Office 98 from the Dock14 Dec 2006 20:30 GMT2
We have migrated our users from Office 98 to Office 2004.  We would like
to remove the Office 98 apps from their Docks (they now show up as
questions marks, since the apps have been removed).  Unfortunately, a
sys admin who is no longer with the company somehow "locked" those ...
