I have a legit copy of Office 2004 v.11.1 and I'm trying to upgrade to 11.2.6 and i keep getting the following error: The installer could not locate the correct version of the software required to install the update. See the Read Me file included with this

I have the Teacher and Student version of 2004. When I install, the Microsoft Component Plugin info shows V11.2.2 (the applications all show 11.2.0--see end of msg). Autoupdating downloads the update 11.2.5 and I get the "can't find correct version..." you all know the bull.

I have got Office2004 for Mac. I tried updating the software, but after downloading update 11.2.5 the update manager closes without installing. Checking for updates again results in finding the update I already downloaded without getting installed.

I purchased a copy of Word for Mac a few months ago for my wife's Macbook. She didn't like the Macbook, so we're selling it, and I'd like to uninstall Word and sell it separately. Can I sell it, and will the buyer have any problems installing it?
