to install word 2004 from only the shell. For instance, I would like to
make a script that installs the software with 0 steps needed for
confirmation. It would greatly help me to be able to simply run a

Office 2004 for Mac Installer and Intel Core Duo10 May 2006 14:43 GMT2
I have a MacBook Pro and tried to install Office 2004 for the Mac. The
Installer says it can't run on my OS (10.4.6) but I'm sure it's a Core
Duo issue. I've intalled other products and have never had any
installers fail to work. MS support was unable/unwilling to assist me.
Upgrading to 2004 in MacBook Pro10 May 2006 09:08 GMT4
I purchased my Office 2004 for use on my powerbook G4 as an upgrade to
Classic (actually OS8.6) software on my old tower. I brought across the
Classic files and part of the old system files so the installer would
spot them and install the new OSX compatible software. So in MacBook
Word 2004 is a CPU hog!10 May 2006 05:16 GMT3
Why is it that everything on my Powerbook is working just fine until I
open a document in Word 2004? Depending on its size, the first thing I
notice is CPU usage goes up to 100% and the fan on my powerbook cuts in
more frequently than out. Using a  scrollwheel is the surest way of

I recently bought a MacBook Pro and installed Office 2004 with all

make it completely go away.
