Office 2004 on Intel Macs12 Jan 2006 07:51 GMT3
I'm planning on purchasing a new Intel-based MacBook (announced
yesterday), but I also recently purchased Office 2004. I'm concerned
that Office will not be compatible or run poorly using Apple's Rosetta
interpreter. Is there any information out there from Microsoft or
Where is the Resume Wizard or function for Word on a Mac OSX 10.412 Jan 2006 07:38 GMT1
I realize that this seems like a trite question but I really can't find
it anywhere on Word in my new Mac.  I can see all the other document
types, excel, word blank document, etc., but not the resume builder.
Any hints.

I am about to buy Office 2004, but have the opportunity to buy Office
2004 Pro for very little extra cost. Although it is my intention to
install Office on a 450 MHz G4, I'd quite like to have virtual PC for
additional faster machine. I see that on the Microsoft website that the

"Contact type" in Address Book/ Transferring addresses from MS Outlook09 Jan 2006 19:05 GMT2
Since Office for MAC doesn't offer separate folders for different
groups (e.g. Work Addresses, Home Addresses) like Microsoft Office did,
I'm wondering if the column titled "Contact type" (mine have what looks
like a little chess pieces in it), would help to create different
the installation-cd is trashed09 Jan 2006 15:45 GMT1
It seems my installation-cd is trashed. It wasn't on purpose. Do I need
to rebuy Office? I find that a little bit unfair. Isn't their a way
that I can download it. I still have my key.

I have the office 2004 update on my computer and am trying to install

re: my post below re: clearing overload of reminders08 Jan 2006 04:56 GMT4
BTW, when I turn on office notifications (ie double-click the app), no
reminders pop up.  Nothing pops up.  Just the pull-down menus at the
top.  No option to "dismiss all" or even dismiss one reminder.  Only
thing I can do is pull "open" the most recent event for which there is
database daemon wont go away!05 Jan 2006 21:59 GMT2
So, what does it take to get rid of the database daemon in Office 2004?
I have turned off notifications, and deleted the startup item, but
every time I start *any* office application, the daemon is restarted
