Probably a crazy request, but I have to support a well known Swedish
Mac user who has a Swedish version of Office 2004. Being English I
can't understand a word of it even with though it is installed under an
English Mac OS/X.

On a brand new iBook with 10.4.4 (or 10.4.3), 1 GB of RAM on it and MS
Office 2004, PP hangs (not responding) when opening a large Power Point
document created in Office X (10.1.4).
PC Emulator for the new Intel Macs.19 Jan 2006 14:04 GMT4
Hi, I am considering switching to the Mac.  Now that the new Intel Mac
has been released, my concern is not having a PC emulator for those few
PC based apps that I have not found or are not ready to substitute yet.

MacBook Pro II18 Jan 2006 18:31 GMT2
Thanks for the replies guys.  One other thing the "Genius" said was that
office would have to be "optimized" for the the MacBook Pro to get the
improved performance with the core duo processors.  Otherwise it would not
run any faster/perform better than the the PowerBook.  Thoughts?
OWA Issues on Macs With New Server18 Jan 2006 17:25 GMT1
We recently replaced our Exchange server with an upgraded, new one.  We went
from Windows 2000 server to Windows 2003 Server for the OS, but Exchange has
always been 2003.
Outlook on PCs and Entourage on Macs work fine.  OWA on PCs works fine.
MacBook Pro17 Jan 2006 22:24 GMT4
The resident Apple Store Genius tells me Office 2004 will not work on the
new MacBook Pro.  He states that MSF will have to update it to be
compatible.  Is this true??
Print closes applications17 Jan 2006 21:42 GMT7
In office & Acrobat, I select the print from the file drop down menu. As
soon as I select it, it shuts down the application & produces an error log
file. I have reinstalled the printer, updated drivers, this is a new thing
as of Friday. Any help would be appreciated.
word page view: can't resize window + blank at bottom16 Jan 2006 15:44 GMT2
I fairly often get glitches when viewing Word doc's in page view mode.
What is most irritating is that I am not allowed to resize the window;
plus, there is a little blank rectangle at bottom that takes up ~1/5 of
the page.  When this happens, pagination is not shown at bottom as
Automatic Update application ignores permissions14 Jan 2006 21:16 GMT4
I have a managed account on my computer - I've allowed the user to
launch all Office applications except the Updater, Remove Office, and
the Handheld Sync Installer.  However, if the user clicks "Check for
updates" in the Help menu in Word, the Updater application launches,

Office Mac 2004 Student & Teacher-where is my identity?14 Jan 2006 01:31 GMT1
I bought Office:mac 2004 Student and Teacher Edition. It offers the
possibility to install the software 3 times, in different computers.  I
installed it first in my daughter's new iBook and it worked fine.  Then
I installed it in my Apple Power Book G4, and it showed a conflict with
Need help troubleshooting an Entourage issue14 Jan 2006 01:29 GMT1
I'm trying to help a non-technical friend of mine determine the root
cause of an issue INVOLVING Entourage, but it's not the main
application in the scenario. More than anything, I'm really just
looking suggestions of things I haven't considered already. So, here
