from the German Amazon site:

luck finding info about it other than a press release from 1997 for version

I have been using the microsoft office 2004 on an ibook G4 on panther
for the last 6 months.
Recently, it is refusing to read some of the excel and powerpoint file
created on a PC under the  Office 97. I can see the file name but not

For years i have used appleworks templates for a phone book. This new
G5 doesn't come with appleworks and I have looked through microsoft
office:mac teacher/student edition 2004 and cant find any templates for
phone books. Does anyone know if any exist? Entrouage just doesn't look

Recently my Word and Entourage 2004 have become very slow.  When I delete
something (a sentence) in a word document I will often get the spinning
beach ball for about 20-30 seconds.  Also, when clicking to create a new
message, I also get the spinning beach ball for about the same ...

Not sure why Office decided to suddenly crash on me (it worked fine
yesterday) but every time I try to open any office program, I get an
error message saying "Microsoft (word, excel, etc) has encountered a
problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience".
