I have version 4.2.1 on Microsoft Office. Can I use the upgrade version
of Office 2004 for Mac to upgrade this version?

I am wanting to purchase MS Office 2004, is there going to be a newer
version anytime soon or should I go ahead and buy? Does anyone know of any
good deals on the professional version of this software. I will also need

I know this might seem like a stupid thing, but the notification sounds
from mac office have stopped after I upgraded to mac office 2004. The
sounds that sound when you save, open, etc a document. This happend to
all my office programs (Word, Excel and Powerpoint). Does anyone know

Ever since I installed Adobe Acrobat 7, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
won´t launch. All I get is an Error reporting window.
Does this have to do with the PDF templates?
I desperate need them to run.

I have a number of files created with old versions of Office for Mac.
(1.X, etc.).  I can't open them with Office X.  Any ideaas how to open
the files without going back to version 1.X on another computer.  Thanks

I have been tasked with porting existing code from windows to OS X.  I
have office automation (COM) code written in VC++.  I have found
postings that state Office 2004 on OS X can interact with AppleScript
and VBA, but I have not found anything regarding programmatic access

I'm a college student about to buy a new laptop.  I'm looking at
Microsoft Office and was wondering if the Student and Teacher edition
is EXACTLY the same as the standard edition.   For example, does Word

I asked this question on the Excel newsgroup a week ago, with no response:
In Excel 2004, a file I use on a daily basis doesn't show up under the
"Recent" tab in Project Gallery. I've tried narrowing down the choices to

I have the student/teacher version of Office 2004, and I installed the
"standard" package last night.  However, I need Equation Editor too, so
I ended up reinstalling Office with that option selected.  Now it's
complaining of not finding the proper fonts.

Crash when importing EPS with TIFF Preview01 Apr 2005 21:11 GMT4
This appears to be an issue that dates back a few years. I'm currently
using Office 2004. In any office application, if I try and insert an EPS
file that has a TIFF preview embedded in it, the Office application
crashes. This seems strange to me, because:
Embedded Objects are now available on Macintosh01 Apr 2005 20:14 GMT3
For the last 5 years at least, word:Mac has been missing a feature which
Word for Windows has had: the capability of embedding files (objects) into
documents (besides other Microsoft Office files).  I have been told that
this was due to a limitation in the MacOS.
