I'm working on a G4, of which I am not the owner, but on which I have
an admin account.  The OS has recently been updated to 10.3.9, and this
is the first time I've attempted to use the machine since then.  With
the exception of Entourage, none of the Office 2004 applications

I opened up Microsoft Word X recently and was playing around on the
console trying to get a program I was writing to work.  While I was
playing around I ran `lsof -i` and found some odd output:

Those huge toolbars !22 Apr 2005 04:03 GMT8
I just switched to Mac and love it, particularly my PowerBook.  I also have
a desktop PC, so I run MS Office on both.  I have to say, the menu and
toolbar system in Office 2004 Mac is big and clumsy compared to the one for
Office 2003 PC.  Not only are the toolbars twice as ...

Upgrading from Office 98 AND a G3 to a G5 and OS 10.X19 Apr 2005 15:21 GMT2
I have an older G3, with Microsoft Office, running OS 9.2.  I'm going

Receiveing a Microsoft Document in Word18 Apr 2005 01:46 GMT2
Recently I was sent a word document by a colleague that contained

I never used the test drive during the first 30 days and they now say
it has expired. Is there an easy way to reactivate it to avoid having
Error and WORD shutdown upon opening files17 Apr 2005 17:00 GMT1
WORD 2004 continues to shut itself down when opening a document.  It
seems to happen primarily with documents created with WORD X, but even
after saving a document in 2004 version, it still will not open and
results in an error. The document starts to open, but before any text
Tiger:  If Office 2004  now on own Apps volume, MUD on own Docs vol.: what moves from 10.3.8 to 10.4 boot volumes?16 Apr 2005 22:33 GMT2
3 STRATEGY CONSIDERATIONS:
In anticipation of Tiger delivery on Apr. 29, I've moved Office 2004 from
the OS 10.3.8 volume's Applications folder to a new OS-free, non-Apple Apps
volume.  I've moved the Microsoft User Data  folder from Users/~/Documents
redirect file locations for multiple users16 Apr 2005 01:54 GMT1
