I just 'upgraded' from a Windows computer to the Mac, and have
installed Office 2004.  I do a lot of writing in languages like
Russian, Chinese and Hungarian, and could really benefit from proofing

I foolishly started the 2004 trail and then promptly ignored it.  I'm
now seriously thinking of purchasing Office 2004 and want to play with
the trial to see if it's functionality is worth me converting to it.

I'm running OS 10.3.5 and I can't get Word to launch. I've tried
reinstalling it and dumping the prefs. It starts to launch, then stops
at various points while loading Visual Basic, the font menus, etc. I

Similar problem here, only perhaps even more of a puzzle. I've just
downloaded and installed the update. Upon starting Word, I'm asked to
enter my name and serial number, which I do, only to have it rejected.

I have come across a problem working in Office X in a Mac OS 10.3.5
environment. 
When a file is named longer than 27 characters, once the file is

Does anybody know why I am having difficulty opening various Word,

Running G4800MHz with 640MB RAM. MS Office vX is slow, especially in
Word. Are there any guides, tips, hints or work around to speed things
up? Especially during scrolling of pages is slowest.

I recently finished helping a friend set up his new iMac G5. We'd
planned to install Office 2004 and I know I have to deinstall the Test
Drive first.
I ran the deinstaller and it did not report that it saw all the Office

I am using a G-4 tower running OS 10.2. Suddenly, in my version of

palette button, the palette rushes to the bottom of the screen and
