Although I used to be pretty proficient with Macs, I haven't used one
for 10-12 years so am completely ignorant about how to do things now.
My father (85) is the only Mac user in the family.  Everybody else,
including my mother (81), uses Windows.  He uses Mail, which I gather

When I forward an email with pictures or graphics I get an error message
which says "One of more of the pictures in this message could not be found.
When you send this message these pictures will not be included."  Several
people have replied that they did not get these pictures ...

Icreated a new account that my mail server wouldn't recognise so I deleted it
and went back to my default account. But now when I start to send a email I
ger a message that says: "One or more messages in your Outbox do not have a
valid account specified. Would you like to use ...

Does anyone have advice on how to turn my contacts and mail folders
into an MBOX file? Apparently that's what it must be in order to move
my contacts from my old G3 iMac with OS9 over to my new G5 iMac with
OSX.

We are using OE vers 5.0.2.
Can anyone tell us how to backup OE folders and messages contained in them,
or point us to resources which will describe the process?

I don't know whether I'm in the correct N/G for this one, if not maybe
someone can redirect me.
