Just installed Outlook Express and would like new messages to be in "In box"
pain when I open application. I now have to use control M to get them to
appear. any suggestions thanks Joe

My wife uses a MAC at work (os 9 something, I'm not a MAC person) with OE.
When
she gets a new e-mail, the program not only sounds a note, it comes to the
top of the desktop, even if she's working in another application. I looked

OE 5.0.6 on Mac OS 9.1 PowerMac G4. I have several accounts and when I click
on "Send & Receive" (for all accounts) I generally get an Error -23012,
"Could not retrieve mail from the account <one of the accounts>" and the
explanation: "A connection failure has occurred."

After I have sent an email with multiple attachments, my sent items version
shows all my atttachments next to each other in a horizontal progression.
How can I get them to line up vertically so I can scroll thru them as
opposed to shifting and widening my window?

Hi, 2 questions:
I am running OE5 Mac edition and have 4 accounts setup so that when
emails are received for each account they are sorted in to their
respective folders.

I'm running OE 5.02 on an iMac.
I created a subfolder for my Inbox and put a few messages in it (important
reference ones!). Turned the computer on the next day and the subfolder has
disappeared.

Just recently while opening my 5.02 program (OS9) for the day, the "Deleted'
folder came up as "Sent" folder. This is in addition to the primary "Sent"
folder. The new "Sent" folder has the garbage can icon and it won't allow me
to change the title back to "Deleted".

My wife has been running OE 5.02 under System 9.2.x for some time now.
Starting late last week, she has twice lost all personalized
information: saved email, address book, and email account information.
1) Is there anything "going around" right now that could cause this

Thanks - we have found this 'Preferences' window before but you can't! edit
direct from the 'Spelling' window within 'Preferences' in OE! Nor by
double-clicking on the dictionary icons on the Mac hard drive!
Any more ideas anyone?
