I recently switched from the Mac OS 10.3X, which was working, to the OS 9.5

group has little traffic, and I really need to get some answers (and my
issue is system-related as well as hardware-related).

I have this Quadra 650 that recently gave up on me.
While I was working in OS7 the machine simply "powered off" as if I
had pulled the power chord.

HARD DRIVE:  Just upgraded my 7200rpm drive (that was a significant
performance increase from the stock 5400rpm notebook sized one) to a
