G4 Tower won't boot from CD...19 Oct 2007 14:11 GMT3
I've got a quicksilver G4 Tower that I installed one of the new dual
7448 processor upgrades in.  I was also using a flashed ATI 9800 video
card in it.  The video card ran hot (even with a 3rd party cooling
solution) so I left the case open all summer.  With cooler fall weather

I recently picked up a 512K Mac. It starts to boot but fails with the sad
mac image. It looks like someone has tried to do a repair/upgrade and it

Recycle integrated iSight15 Oct 2007 20:59 GMT1
Hallo NG,
I ask myself it is possible to use a iSight of a dead iMac.

New iMac14 Oct 2007 03:54 GMT5
I am thinking of getting a new iMac. there's a general principle that it
is best to wait until the first revision, so that any hardware problems
can be ironed out.
I am wondering if this applies to the new iMacs, or whether they can be
Intel Mini's huge potential13 Oct 2007 03:54 GMT538
Consider the following system:

connector originally used for the 5400 rpm notebook hard drive.  And
Why can't Apple repair a newish iMac?13 Oct 2007 02:30 GMT8
I'm curious (and furious). I have a 9-month old 20" iMac. Up until

for work mostly and it took me a while (like until recently) to get it
set up the way I want it. About two weeks (it'll be 2 weeks this ...

For about the past two weeks, it's been like pulling teeth getting on
