iPhone full-size keyboard09 Aug 2007 01:12 GMT2
Sorry if this group isn't the right one, but I couldn't find a dedicated
iPhone newsgroup.
I wonder if it's possible to connect an external keyboard to the iPhone, for
example the
M(a)c food08 Aug 2007 18:24 GMT6
I watched the iLife video this aft and I found it amazing! It really
teaches Mac users quite a lot of stuff.
For instance, it explains that if you've shoved 5000 pictures in the
same directory, if would be a nice idea to create sub-directories. So
Apple still messes up diacritic characters08 Aug 2007 16:43 GMT2
I read any french paper I wish with Linux: Le Monde, Libération, Le
Monde diplomatique, Le Nouvel Observateur, Marianne, La Presse, etc.
But reading Apples Terms and conditions is a problem. Here's how it looks:

Apple didn't know08 Aug 2007 14:31 GMT16
It seems Apple didn't know they were announcing product upgrades
today. Their store page says: "We are busy updating the store for you
and will be back shortly."
Bunch of morons! Unless, of course, they have good reason to diffuse
Question: USB 1.1 vs. USB 2.008 Aug 2007 01:45 GMT21
I know that USB 2.0 is much faster than USB 1.1, but I'm wondering if
there is a way to distinguish between the cables for the two. The
connectors can look identical; is there some other way of determining if
the cable I have is 1.1. or 2.0? Or is there a difference?
crash with new RAM07 Aug 2007 13:05 GMT2
I just got my g5 back from the repair shop with 2gb new RAM installed.
They told me that they checked the DIMMs, and my computer and found
nothing wrong. When I turn the machine on, I get one crash after
another.
New or updated iMac06 Aug 2007 13:38 GMT5
I noticed ads for discounted iMacs.  This could be the telegraph of a
new or updated iMac from Apple.  Any good rumors going around on a new
iMac?

Airport Express on WDS password06 Aug 2007 00:59 GMT1
I've had an Airport Express for a while now.  Love it.  For a variety
of reasons, just picked up a 2nd one and have it set up in WDS mode, using
the Airport Setup Utility.
Everything works great, but ....
Airport Express and Vista05 Aug 2007 12:55 GMT2
I am experiencing some problems with AE and MS Vista Home Basic. My
wife PC have this system and I set up it to using WiFi connection via
AE. My Whitebook works just fine with AE, no problems, but Vista
sometimes cannot get IP address via DHCP, going to local address after
Maxtor OneTouch backup software02 Aug 2007 16:26 GMT2
I have a Maxtor One-Touch III external drive, and I use the MaxBack
software that came with it. As the backup progresses, I see the message
"error copying file" for certain files (but it continues to back up).
When I check those files on the Maxtor, after the backup is finished,
Memory 3rd party02 Aug 2007 10:33 GMT7
I will be buying my first MAC soon. But I don't want to pay for the memory
that Apple charge for. I am therefore planning to
buy a third party make "Kingston" for the model MAC that I buy. Kingston
give a lifetime warranty. But I wanted to know if any others have had any
Question on D-Link routers01 Aug 2007 22:50 GMT3
After more research on wired routers I've zeroed in on a D-Link EBR-2310
4 port router.  One reviewer indicated that you can't update the router
firmware using a Mac.  Does anyone know if this is true of this model or
any other D-link router wired or wireless?
