In Mac "Mini heat sink upgrading?" some people suggest that it would be really great to have a decent size hard disk spinning at a decent speed, with a decent amount of memory and so on at a decent price. I agree but it seems Apple thinks they're providing desktop computers

Was disappointed to see that neither of the new Apple keyboards announced yesterday have no backlighting option. I'm looking for a MacBook-like keyboard complete with backlight. Any ideas?

| Airport Express and Static/DHCP environment | 14 Aug 2007 15:15 GMT | 6 |
I am not sure that is the right place to ask, but maybe. So, I have ISP which is giving me DHCP private WAN address. I have Airport Express configured for DHCP IP addresses distribution and NAT them to a single IP address. My Macbook uses DHCP with this AE and no problem exist.

| Mac mini DVD burner/drive DEAD...good external replacement? | 13 Aug 2007 01:42 GMT | 2 |
In the last week, the DVD/CD burner on my Mac Mini has started making horrible noises, scratching discs, and now no longer reads discs at all. My system is out-of-warranty, and taking it to Apple to have the DVD drive replaced would cost an arm and a leg. i figured it would be

My father gave me his old PowerBook G3 with a 60GB hard drive and 160MB of ram. It is currently running with OS 9.2 and I was wondering if I could upgrade it to OS 10.2. I'm kind of new to Macs so I apologize if this is a stupid question.

This message was entitled "How lame can Apple get?" on comp.sys.mac.system and, until now, received only a comment from a very forthright guy called Michelle. Let's see if we can get a minimum of substance:
