I am looking for a Mac OS X compatible scanner, duplex, with sheet feeder, and as compact as possible. It is going to be in an office with three secretaries, and used almost exclusively for B&W administrative archiving.

HELP: Is this RAM Compatible? iMac 400 and Powerbook 1Ghz? I have an iMac 400 Tangerine and Powerbook 1Ghz Dual-Boot Titanium. I want to know if the RAM is interchangeable. TIA!

I consider LaCie harddisks the best but not their short (USB or Firewire) cables. LaCie may save 17 cents making cables so short that one has to place the harddisk very close to the computer thus cramming the desk. IEEE permits 4.5 meter, but 1.5 meter should be enough in most cases ...

Has anyone heard of someone changing the heat sink on their Mini? My PPC 1.25 ghz model would need a heat sink not exceeding 47 mm x 118 mm. (47 mm is about 1.5 inches.) A Sonic Tower might work if one ground the 2 of the sides but it would be great to get a good one that

All of a sudden my audio-in has died. Everything was working fine... then my mic stopped working. I have two mics and neither of them now work whether i plug them into the iMic USB device

i decided to move up from my G4 to a (non-intel) G5 = then i bought (ebay) a new, sweet samsung 906bw monitor. i put a radeon 9800pro, 256mg card into the machine, updated the drivers and then hooked up the samsung, only to discover their drivers (on cd) are only for pc!

Now that I have the 30" Apple monitor, I wish all apps and the Finder could have tear-off menus. It's quite a reach to the top, and not all have keystrokes (and regardless, with all the apps there would be more keyboard shortcuts than I can remember.)

I was just given an Apple Laserwriter printer and there doesn't seem to be a way to connect it to my computer. I was wondering if there is some PDI card to install or is there some other way to adapt it.
