I have a powerbook G4 and will probably be purchasing a mac pro after
10.5 is released and the product is "upgraded".  Anyhow, I couldn't find
any info on SATA on the support site except articles about installing
SATA drives on a mac pro.  What I want to do is attach an external ...
G4 Clock Resetting Problem31 Mar 2007 09:09 GMT3
I have a G4 1GHz machine. When I turn it off and then back on, it will
not reboot. I must open the case and push the small reset button next to
the clock battery. Also, the clock looses its settings.
I have replaced the clock battery and zapped the PRAM. This did not fix

AppleTV hard drive replacement28 Mar 2007 15:46 GMT7
Any one torn into an AppleTV yet? I'm wondering just how hard replacing the
hard drive might be. Gotta be easier than the G4 iBook I just did (harder
than any other I've done).
40 GB seems quite paltry. I haven't found any web reference on replacement,

Macs vs. PCs26 Mar 2007 22:00 GMT11
I'd like to ask a real question to all who uses Mac before Intel
transition. Do you think that today Mac are still Macs or they are
similar to PCs nowdays? What is the major differences between today Mac
and PC, they have Intel, it's a rather PC processor, they can use EFI,
Uploading java programs to a Motorola phone from Mac OS X, how?26 Mar 2007 17:48 GMT1
Do you know how can I upload Java programs to my Motorola phone
through Bluetooth from my iMac (Mac OS X.4 / Tiger)? My phone is the
V330 (AFAIK similar to V551).
I tried using the Bluetooth File Exchange, but if only show picture,
Format of a Flash drive?26 Mar 2007 15:53 GMT2
I have a Verbatim 1 GB USB Flash/jump drive can I format it in HFS or
HFS+ (or MSDOS)? I assume it is MSDOS as it came out of the package?
After a lot of use as far as coping to it and trashing stuff should I
occasionally reformat it? After copying and trashing stuff does the
eMac - help please24 Mar 2007 15:54 GMT8
Please advise me on the following regarding my eMac.
1. Can I disconnect the internal hard-drive on my eMac and just use the
external one that I use now anyway. If yes, is it difficult to do so?
2. I want to use an external monitor on my eMac and want to disconnect the
External Hard Drive for iBook G424 Mar 2007 06:06 GMT11
I save too much stuff; do y'all have any recommendations for an external
drive, firewire connected.  My iBook G4 has about 7GB of unused space
and I know I need to move (yeah, or delete) a bunch of stuff.
I'm thinking maybe 80GB minimum for a new external drive.  What can I
RAM etc24 Mar 2007 02:02 GMT6
I'm a "finally fed up enough with MS to consider the move" type and just
about finished with my investigation.  I've just about decided to make the
switch and have a couple of questions if you all don't mind guiding my
purchase.

Processor upgrade for G4/86722 Mar 2007 17:49 GMT10
I am considering the purchase of a 2 GHz processor upgrade for my G4/867
Quicksilver. And I've seen this page:

AirPort/iBook on a plane22 Mar 2007 00:51 GMT4
I recently brought my iBook along on a trip out of the country -- in
fact, I'm still here now -- but was unable to look at some DVDs on the
plane over as I was unsure that turning off AirPort in the System Prefs
panel actually shut off power to the AirPort hardware, or if it just ...
USB 2.x ports not seen by older Mac22 Mar 2007 00:48 GMT10
My dual 1Gig G4 Mac was made before USB 2 came out and has only 1.1
ports. I bought a card with two external USB 2 ports and just stuck it
into the Mac. I had been told that I needed nothing else, that the Mac
came with drivers and such (I'm now on 10.4.9).
