| Airport w/USB Drive vs. Network Drive | 28 Feb 2007 16:38 GMT | 1 |
I am purchasing the new Airport Base Station and considering getting a USB Hard Drive for it. As well, I know there are many Ethernet based network Hard Drives coming out on the market now. Which is better to purchase? Since the Airport Base Station only has

| G5 w/radeon9600pro 2560x1600? | 27 Feb 2007 15:16 GMT | 2 |
Does anyone know how I can get the full resolution out of a Dell 30" 2560x1600 monitor? In the ATI display utility it only recognizes the monitor as 1280x800 and I can't find a way to change it. Dell has drivers for PC only.

| Panther Firewire Bug Still a Problem? | 26 Feb 2007 00:38 GMT | 2 |
I'm going to upgrade an iBook G3 from OS 10.1.5 to 10.3, and I'm concerned about the Panther Firewire bug. Provided I update to 10.3.9, is massive disk corruption still the problem it used to be? I've got a (now discontinued) Firewire/USB 2.0 DK-9 removable disk enclosure with ...

| Does a 12" 1.33GHz iBook Logic Board fit into an 800MHz model? | 25 Feb 2007 05:03 GMT | 1 |
Or will the display fit? A friend's 800MHz iBook G4 died showing the same symptoms which led to the original, G3 iBook LBRE program. A repair through Apple would cost almost as much as a new MacBook, so this is not an option. However, on

| CD stuck in slot-load G3 iMac | 23 Feb 2007 19:16 GMT | 1 |
Any suggestions for removing a CD from the slot-loading drive in my G3 iMac (graphite)? The drive is trying to eject the CD, but just doesn't seem to have enough "oomph" to get it out. I've tried the "bent-paperclip-in-the-hole" fix, but it doesn't help. It just won't

| copying files over Firewire? | 22 Feb 2007 23:25 GMT | 2 |
I am relocating my large iTunes library, my wife's and my iPhoto libraries, and assorted jpegs and docs from three different Firewire drives to one new Firewire drive. Right now I have the new drive plugged into one of the two Firewire ports on my G3 B/W, the drive I'm

| Speculation | 21 Feb 2007 03:19 GMT | 6 |
I am thinking about getting a MacBook Pro. I am thinking 2.33Ghz, but I am also thinking it would be most prudent to wait til May. Apple always has some announcement in May. I have heard rumors concerning the new iPod that will be mostly a huge

| SCSI scanner, FW-to-SCSI adapter, iBook G4??? | 20 Feb 2007 10:02 GMT | 1 |
I have an old Olympus ES-10 SCSI film scanner that served me well with a SCSI-equipped Mac running OS 9 and Photoshop 4. My current Mac is an iBook G4 that runs OS X 10.4 and will not boot into OS 9. Do I have any hope of using this scanner through a FireWire SCSI adapter while

When I download music to my iPod, I noticed that some of the files play at various volumes. I have to keep adjusting volume on my iPod, or else I may go deaf. Is there anyway to make the volume of all of the songs loaded on my

| iMac USB problems | 18 Feb 2007 13:01 GMT | 4 |
I just bought an older iMac from a thrift store and it was working when I bought it. It booted up once but one of the two USB ports is broken and the other isn't working because I can't get a response when I plug in a keyboard or mouse. I was wondering if the USB ports are easily ...

| Mighty Mouse random clicking | 18 Feb 2007 02:47 GMT | 2 |
I have a wired Mighty Mouse, and when I use a mouse-intensive application it makes lots of random, light clicking sounds. They're like the clicks you get when you squeeze the side buttons, but I'm pretty sure I'm not accidentally doing this.

Do you by any change know how to get Samsung ML-1440 laser jet printer works for an Intel iMac (Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger)? Samsung's newest driver "20040507134939984_SPL_V2.5.sit" works well in my G4 iBook (also run MacOS v10.4), but in the Intel iMac, albeit the

| Exchanging an iPod in a different country - 30Gb -> 80Gb | 17 Feb 2007 07:15 GMT | 4 |
I ordered an iPod from New Zealand (it was part of a Hotpoints deal, I couldn't cash in the loyalty points any other way that made sense!) to be shipped to South Africa. It arrived, but I discovered that I'd made a mistake and orderd a

| iMac Core 2 Duo (october 2006) and high-pitched noise | 16 Feb 2007 20:20 GMT | 10 |
I bought a 20-inch iMac in october 2006 (Core 2 Duo). It runs smoothly and it has no problem whatsoever, except a strange noise that seems to come from the left side of the machine, somewhere around the hard drive. It's not always there, and it seems to be louder
