| Wrapper Volume | 13 Nov 2006 13:59 GMT | 3 |
What is the Wrapper Volume? What does it have to do with the mouse? Disk Warrior discovered a problem with the Wrapper Volume but was unable to correct the problem. Would this problem be corrected if the drive was formated?

| Max 10.4.8 o/s memory on G4 DP/450? | 11 Nov 2006 01:40 GMT | 4 |
I have an agp dp/450 with 1.25gb (2x512, 2x128) Is 1.5gb still the upper o/s limit? If still holds, and considering memory for this box may not play on a future one, is is better to get 2x258 or additional 1x512 to end up at

| Use for internal USB2.x? | 10 Nov 2006 20:07 GMT | 7 |
I just bought a PCI card to add USB2.0 to my older Mac, and it has two ports outside on the shiny metal thing where I can use them, plus an internal one that is accessible only within the computer, where it's no use to me what so ever.

| Slide Scanners Compatible with Intel Macs | 09 Nov 2006 05:35 GMT | 1 |
I'm looking around for a 35mm slide/negative scanner, nothing too expensive and probably second-hand via eBay. Does anyone know of a model or make that runs with an Intel Mac? I was close to getting one made by PrimeFilm, despite being able to run under earlier versions of OS X,

| Installing a USB2.x PCI card | 08 Nov 2006 23:29 GMT | 2 |
I got a USB2.whatever PCI card for five bucks. My Mac is older and has the 1.1 ports. The card had no drivers; is it possible to install it and just have it work, or do I need drivers? If I need drivers, are there any open source drivers available?

| external DVD drives | 08 Nov 2006 13:26 GMT | 8 |
I've a few scratched DVDs that the crappy Matsushite drive in my Macbook won't read. If I get a generic IDE DVD-ROM drive and attach it via an IDE->USB2.0 adaptor I have (normally used on PCs, never tried it on the mac), then

| Hard Drive Backup | 08 Nov 2006 00:59 GMT | 9 |
I have recently purchased an external hard drive to avoid having to lug my laptop home from the office each night. Can anyone recommend a Sync program to help keep my hard drives in step with one another? I use iSync for my Address Book and Calendar, and love it because it updates

I just ordered one of the new Core2Duo MBP's. I ordered the airline adapter but I know that the airline adapter won't work with car chargers. My question, is there a car charger available for it? Even if it's 3rd party that's fine as long as it works. I travel some by

I have posted cross posted this message to both comp.sys.mac.hardware and misc, I would be grateful for any suggestions. I own a number of external SCSI-2 hard drives (Seagate, Western Digital & IBM), which used to work with an old Apple Mac via onboard SCSI; and

I am having trouble with an extern USB2 drive from a Chinese company named TravelStar. My MacBook recognizes it, and I can even copy files onto and off of it, but I am unable to delete contents. When I try to delete items the process is ridiculously slow. Afterwards, "ghosts" of
