Just checking in here as I purchased a 256MB PC2100 DDR SODIMM RAM module
for my daughters iBook.  Installation was a snap (almost literally).
However, upon bootup it appears to be still only reporting 256MB.
Is there anything else that needs to be done to get this machine to

I know there were posts some time ago about fan issues, and I didn't
have one then. Lately, my fan runs at high speed all the time. I've got
a dual 1-GHz G4, running 10.4.7. I don't recall reading about fan

I am new to the Mac world and am trying to build up a Power Mac G4 AGP

tech support. They said I need to configure my dhcp setting. But I see
