i need to remove a zip drive from a G3 powerMAC and need help. there is
a plate on the zip's back end (above the connectors) with circles
(holes) in it.... i think this needs to be removed?
if so how?

Anyone know where to find instructions for installing
the apple "Wireless Upgrade Kit" in a new (end of 2005) G5?
This is the module that contains both Airport and Bluetooth,
and is supposed to be an dealer-install-only upgrade.  But how

I have a family eMac running Tiger.  I'm thinking of getting a cheap second
older Mac for my two kids to play on.  I know someone locally who is
giving away some complete Macs that were new in 1996-1999.  I guess

I was recently given an old HP 8200 USB CD writer. Has anyone been able
to make it work under OSX?
It works fine on my old G3 under 9.2.2 but, when connected to my iMac G5
running 10.4.6, it shows up in the System Profiler but is apparently not

My wireless router died this weekend and I need to replace it. This
being the second SMC I've had that didn't last or perform particularly
well (2 years and they seem to fry), I'm going for another brand. In
addition, I hope to find something with great wireless range.

To someone who knows... why is it possible for me to hook a "cantenna"
to my airport card and get 700-800kbps on open net. and not be able to
configure APBS extreme with the cantenna plugged into the external
antenna port and get on the web?

My new Intel iMac 17" has a wireless keyboard and mouse.  How long
should I expect the batteries to last?
The two mouse batteries seem to need changing about every two
months.  I have never changed the four keyboard batteries.

Hi, I run Photoshop CS for photography work, which is fine most of the time.
But when I work on larger files, 50mb and above, things tend to slow down a
bit when it's processing filters, etc. The budget has to be small as I only
want another year or two from this machine before the ...

What is considered the best inkjet printer for disks designed for
direct labeling by printing on the disk's surface?  Thanks for any help

displays configured as a single large desktop, and then move or grow

Any opinions on the Other World Computing external hard drives? Past
reports seem to indicate a relatively high regard. I'm looking at
250GB-300GB drives and they seem competitively priced and have two year
warranties. I don't understand why the newer aluminum enclosures

I recently got a bonzai 1gb USB flash drive.
Actually an SD/MMC stick reader which comes with a 1gb sd card.
the device works (mounts and read/writes) on a PC. it will not format
though.
