we bought a new 17" Intel iMac a couple of weeks ago, but some CDs (not
all) refuse to eject properly. They do try to eject, but then get

hitting the case or it could be that the drive simply doesn't have
Any iSight alternatives for OSX 10.3 out there?22 May 2006 01:20 GMT4
It'd be great if someone recommend a Webcam for OSX 10.3. I'd like to
explore options less expensive than iSight.
Best,

Intel iMacs vs. PowerMac G518 May 2006 17:27 GMT7
Our school is looking into purchasing Mac(s)  (yay!), primarily for
video/audio editing.  However, our budget basically means we could
afford either 1 PowerMac or 2 iMacs (with good RAM and a big
hard-drive, plus a screen for the PowerMac).  Having 2 Macs would

I saw in a 2003 webpage that by adding some software it's possible to

possible to make the pioneer dvr-104 in dvd-rw 4x media?

SCSI for Mac Mini17 May 2006 23:52 GMT3
I am trying to decide if I should get a USB to SCSI or Firewire to SCSI
adapter for my Mac Mini. Many people probably don't think that I should
do this, but I have a Pinnacle magneto-optical drive that I use for
backing up projects, and a La Cie Silver Scanner II which also works
Hard Drive Upgade17 May 2006 18:29 GMT3
Help! I've added internal hard drives to my G4 mac twice already and
both have died on me (they just started clicking when I'd watch DVDs on
my computer). And I know clicking means the hard drive is dead. The
first one I tried was Western Digital (60 gig). It failed on me after
"Beige" G3 trouble15 May 2006 03:25 GMT6
I'm loading a new disk for a relative's old G3, using mine.
Now, mine boots up fine, the old drive which lives in it is fine, the
network/keyboard/trackball all work.  The CD-ROM drive installed 10.2
just fine.  Partitioned 7.5G for 10.2, 20 for 9, the rest for whatever
