Anyone with recommendations on an inexpensive film scanner?
Must be either USB or FireWire interface, play well with Tiger, and interface
with Photoshop. Bus-powered would be a great bonus to ensure portability of use
with an iBook.

Hi. The backlight is broken on my 12" G4 Powerbook. I'd like to replace
the bulb, but I don't want to solder and so forth, so I will buy the
part on which the bulb is placed. Anyone know which part this is? (I'm
guessing that it's the inverter cable)

I recently recieved an grey (graphite?) CRT IMAC.  The original owner
said the sound didnt work.   I hoped it was a small problem because
otherwise the machine is in mint condition.   I tried headphones ext
out etc... no luck... checked all possible software settings no luck.

Malfunctioning external firewire hard drive during a Retrospect Backup.

I recently got a 233 MHz G3 iMac. The 4 GB disk is not adequate to hold
Mac OS X. So I got a 40 GB hard disk and want to put it in. How do I
open this puppy up?
