I have decided to buy one last PowerPC Mac before the Intel chips take over. I prefer cathode ray tube to LCD displays; I do a lot of image editing. I would like to hear some opinions about whether an eMac or a Mini plus a new CRT monitor would be the best way to go.

HELP!! Why Won't My DVD-R Drive Work???? I have 2 separate Powerbook 1GHz G3 Powerbooks with OS 9.2.2 and OS 10.3.9. I have BLANK DVD+R Discs made by Sony and Verbatim. 4.7 GBS, 120 minutes.

I'm getting a Kernel Panic of the "Unresolved Kernel Trap" variety, and the effective address of the memory element (DAR) is always the same: DAR=0x00000490. Anybody know how to decipher where that memory element is? These crashes

I bought my husband a maxtor 3100 200 G external drive for additional storage. It shows up fine on his desktop (mac os 10.x). The drive specs mention only pc-compatability, not mac. I believe somewhere I read it is formatted in fat-32.

Mac/OS 9 only recognizes hard drives up to 137 gig. I have a 200 gig hard drive, but MAC/OS 9 only recognizes the first 137 gig of the drive. I have a tower Mac G4 from the year 2000.

My brother-in-law had a Maxtor 6Y160P0 in his PC which he asked a computer service store to make into his C: drive. When he took it to them the drive was working great. They then formatted it using Windows XP SW and told him it no longer
