and fastest compatible types? Does 'super ATA' work on my machine? Are there
advantages with my setup?

The hard drive in my brothers iMac (CRT, DV 2001) has died and I've got a
replacement for him here.
Now, the question is:  I've got OS X 10.4 family pack on DVD but he's only
got a CD drive.  Can I format the and install 10.4 on the drive here using

I'm considering the MSI RX480M2-IL uATX mobo.
It's for a trible-boot setup (XP included).
I do know the northbridge gets quite hot, but that's from tests done

does anybody use EvolutionTV by Miglia ? What are your experiences ?
(The alternative is EyeTV 200 but it is rather expensive compared to
the Miglia solution.)

I've had an ipod shuffle 512 since February, and all of a sudden it's
dead - won't charge or mount in OSX. I originally had some problems
with charging b/c I use an emac, and the shuffle won't fit without
an extention.   I don't think this is the same problem.

I have put the motherboard from my beloved 6400 in a 5200 case to get a
smaller machine. But i found a couple of wierd problems.
First of all. The 5200 seem to have some kind of fan controller, for the fan
above the board. The 6400 doesn't, or it atlaest it doesn't work. So with

Googling for Norton and OS X comes up with conflicting reports: wonderful;
and killed my disk.
Risks?

This would be great although I fear Apple will go to great lengths to
keep it from happening, but hey the best OS (OS X) on 'industry
standard' hardware !  - snip - Imagine if your next Mac cost you only
$300, and ran faster than any G4 or  G5 you've ever used.
