I'm running Tiger 10.4.1 on a  1.67 GHz PowerPC G4 17" PowerBook.
This afternoon I suddenly noticed that the displayed images were full of a
random collection of bright cyan small clusters which I've dubbed "noogles".

i have an eMac with 40gb hard drive (hard drive built in the
monitor). i just picked up a 120gb external hard drive to plug in
the usb ports to add extra hard drive space.
the external hard drive can be formatted for either a pc or a mac.

I'm in the process of getting a Quadra 700 running.  However, the hard
drive is not being recognized.  I confirmed the hard drive is good in a
different computer.  The Quadra will boot from a floppy, but the Apple
System installers will not recognize the hard drive.  The Apple ...

Mac G4 tower, internal Matshita CD burner that came with it, OS 9.2, Toast 5.2.
Often, when I'm trying to burn a CD, Toast freezes at the end of the burning
process and locks up the
Mac, requiring me to restart the Mac.

Yeah, here's an antique.  This was working fine for me years ago, and
then after an extremely cold trip to Utah, it began having problems.
Obviously that was a while ago, but I've dug it out to see if there's
any point in hanging onto it.

Any recommendations for somebody to repair this wallstreet? I think the

I have an external Firewire hard drive enclosure.  It works OK with a
Seagate 125 GB drive borrowed from a USB-2 enclosure, as well as the old
Quantum 6 GB HD from my Beige G3 MT.
However, a Maxtor 300 GB HD installed in the enclosure, cannot be mounted,

I have a 200 GB Maxtor external drive attached to my PowerBook. Lately
I've been getting the following warning dialog from TechTool Pro when I
reboot my machine:
