Anyone know how to take a Western digital Passport 2.5 drive case apart?
It's sure not very obvious to me, and I'm fairly clever. But the folks
at WD are more clever. An explanation or link to a take apart would be
appreciated.

Does it still work to connect a PC to a Mac using an Ethernet cable to move
files over and does anyone have a link for how to do that -- what to do on
the PC and the Mac? Also, is that a crossover cable or standard? And is

I want to build a video surveyance system.
Thinking of using some 4 or 5 Panasonic dome video cameras with built-in
TCP/IP on ethernet 10/100 mbit/s.
What hardware and software would suit that purpose on a Mac?

I've been trying to install Tiger on my G4 733 OS 10.2.8 with original
40 GB HD, (Maxtor), and have run into an issue.

I've seen some iPod posts on this group and recently resolved my
version of a fairly popular IPod Shuffle issue pertaining to Windows

I have a movie. I cut the sound using extract audio. now, trying to
edit the movie the sound is cut and doesn't stick to the video.
How to fix the sound back to the movie?

This isn't exactly about hardware, but there isn't a video Mac software
news groups. So I'll risk ticking everyone off to perhaps maybe getting
some ideas on how to do something. I have some dance recital clips
ripped from a very non-professional recording job. In between dances

i have an eMac with 40gb hard drive (hard drive built in the
monitor). i just picked up a 120gb external hard drive to plug in
the usb ports to add extra hard drive space.
the external hard drive can be formatted for either a pc or a mac.
