Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone can help me make the mouse on my powerbook
feel more like a PC. It seems laggy, and is impossible to play games
with.

Surplus WinTel IDE/ATA card for use in PCI Power Mac?11 Jul 2005 06:27 GMT3
I have access to a heap of used PCI hard disk adapter cards from recycled
PCs. I'd like to use one of the IDE/ATA cards to connect - for occasional
file transfer or maintenance - to a PC hard drive.
Are some brands better supported with Mac (prefer OS X, but can boot into OS
Disk defragment11 Jul 2005 03:41 GMT8
Is there a piece of software bundled with Mac OS, like in Windows XP, or
would someone know a freeware to do the job?
G4 Powerbook Power Adapter11 Jul 2005 00:32 GMT1
I recently damaged the plug on my power adaptor (the one that plugs into
the Powerbook, and glows in different colours to let you know the
charging status).  I expected I could obtain a replacement fairly easy,
and solder it on the cable but no such luck, they seem to be totally
refurbished Macs10 Jul 2005 20:24 GMT2
What say you about the refurbished Macs being sold by a mail order
company in Oregon, USA - advertised in the back of the August Macworld
mag - or from other companies?  Would like a clamshell iBook but
concerned about the speed.  The current iBooks are slower than the eMac
External Hard Drive desktop image?09 Jul 2005 19:46 GMT3
My external hard drive has suddenly decided it doesn't want to appear
as an icon on my desktop - or any other for that matter. I have tried
everything, looked in the System Profiler and it just says there is a
firewire device attached, but nothing else.
wireless keyboard09 Jul 2005 18:52 GMT3
I'm considering to buy an Apple wireless keyboard and was wondering if
it has an USB port as well to plug in a USB stick or other device.
Plugging in an USB stick on the rear side of an iMac doesn't seem to
convenient to me.
New G5 - when?09 Jul 2005 11:14 GMT6
I know this is an almost impossible question to answer, but I'd be
grateful for any information, suggestion (mostly), hint, whatever.
My dual 500mph G4 is showing its age. It's a bit slow, it's not really
happy with Final Cut Pro HD and it won't run DVD Studio Pro 3.
External FW drive go bye-bye09 Jul 2005 07:26 GMT5
I tried to back up my G4 Tibook onto an external Firewire drive
yesterday, using SuperDuper.
Before I did so, I checked the external drive with the Oxford uploader /
updater.  As I understand it, some OS X 10.3.x versions have trouble
Mac Mini summer revision?09 Jul 2005 07:19 GMT1
Saw a rumor here that the Mac Mini would be revised this summer with a
few bugfixes or improvements. Any truth to this rumor? Where is a good
place to look for such information?
iMac G509 Jul 2005 06:51 GMT6
Ok,
I'm thinking of taking the plunge and getting a MAC. I'm currently leaning
towards the iMac G5.
My plans are to use it for home video editing (beginner), photo's and just

Troubles with a Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse09 Jul 2005 02:15 GMT1
I am trying to get my Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for bluetooth to
work with OSX Tiger.  The mouse itself actually works no problem.
However the third-button (mouse wheel) does not seem to work.  I know
all about USB Overdrive utility.  I've already gotten my Logitech wired
