| External DVD-Burner | 10 Jun 2005 01:17 GMT | 2 |
I have ibook G4 with a combo drive. My question is the CD-RW is no longer suitable for my monthly backup due to the 700MB size limit. I'm thinking to get a new DVD Burner. Instead of having my drive replaced with a Super Drive, since my drive is still working like a

| Sinchronization | 09 Jun 2005 09:01 GMT | 3 |
I have set up the Date & Time in my Mac G5 to set them automatically from a NIST website. However, the time in my Mac is behind 3 secs from the one in the time server. I have looked everywhere for some answers to no avail. Does anyone have any idea as to why the difference?

| Mac Case Fan Replacement Issues | 09 Jun 2005 04:42 GMT | 1 |
I have a Beige G3 MT, with a fan that is becoming increasingly louder. In my process of replacing, I came across a fan, with a 3-pin female connector, probably geared towards the PC world. The power connection from the Mac power supply is a 2-pin female. Anybody have any idea ...

| Village Tronic 'VT Book' -- reports? | 08 Jun 2005 09:09 GMT | 6 |
A good while back I bought a Village Tronic pci video card to drive a second monitor for my 7300/200. It was the 'Mac Picasso' -- basic and cheap (just what I wanted) -- and it is in fact still happily pumping away today, even though the 7300 has had a brain transplant (G3 450) and

| iMac DV (Graphite) and AirPort? | 07 Jun 2005 23:15 GMT | 7 |
My dad has a Graphite version of the iMac DV (slot loading). I have tried Googling on this but to no avail. Anyway: Will this model of iMac be able to have an AirPort card installed in it? He wants to get broadband, and I'd like to not have to run an

| Capture Question | 07 Jun 2005 20:09 GMT | 1 |
What hardware device or PCI card do I need to allow my mac to accept a live camera input, but more than one camera at a time? I see surveillance type cards with BNC connectrs, not many with Mac support. I know about firewire, but I can only do ONE DV at a time with that.

| OS X on Intel: new peripherals? | 07 Jun 2005 20:06 GMT | 4 |
I keep hearing that when Intel-based Macs come out, all-new peripherals (printers, etc.) will be required. Any particular reason for this? I mean, my printer - HP Deskjet 6840 - connects via 802.11g wireless networking. Why wouldn't *that* be compatible right out of the box?

| Where can I get an ATI video adapter? | 07 Jun 2005 07:29 GMT | 1 |
I recently bought a used PowerMac G4 400MHz (AGP) with two ATI video cards in it. The second is an XCLAIM VR 128 PCI card (Rage 128 Pro based, 16mb, ROM#113-57406-108). I asked the guy several times if he had given me all of the cables, adapters, etc. that came with this

| Radius Intellicolor Display/20e Microcontroller Problem? | 06 Jun 2005 19:36 GMT | 3 |
My Radius IntelliColor Display/20e starts up green, but with a strong green that suggests having the brightness turned up way too high. The green is like a overall very strong wash, pretty much unusable since it's so intense.

I'm looking to upgrade my G4 733 DI PowerMac video adapter (GeForce2 MX). Anyone know if a GeForce FX 5200 Ultra will work in the 4x AGP slot? Thanks, --Evan

| G4 iBook's keys rubbing off | 05 Jun 2005 09:57 GMT | 1 |
I purchased a G4 iBook back in July. In the past few weeks, the lettering on many of my keys has begun to simply rub off. I have used desktop Macs with Apple keyboards for a dozen years at both home and at work, and I never had this problem. So, I don't think my fingertips have

I am trying to use a Western Digital 40GB hard drive as an external drive for my G4 iMac. I am using OS 10.4 Tiger, if this matters. This drive was formerly in a PC and has data on it which I need to retrieve. I have put the drive in a USB 2.0/Firewire enclosure and cannot get it
