I bought a second-hand imac G5 that wont boot past the Apple logo with the

I bought a Firewire Memorex DVD+/- RW burner a couple of months ago.
Used it to store data.  But i recently just got iDVD and it says it is
not  compatible when i boot it up.  I cant find much about this on
Google.

When I scan any document with Tiger and HP AllInOne 1210 I get an error
message the moment I want to open the scanned document with Word or

I just bought a 17" iMac G5, and it emits a high-pitch buzzing sound that
fluctuates in frequency and volume.  It isn't very loud, but is quite
irritating.   Is this normal, or do I have a bad fan, power supply or ???

Many claim that HDs last longer when horizontal rather than vertical. Is
there any research to back that up? Also, would an odd angle, neither
vertical nor horizontal be worse than vertical?
