I have a 6 computer network; 2 pc laptops w/wireless cards, 2pc's w
ethernet cards; a Mac G5 with both an ethernet card and I just
installed an airport extreme card and a G4 laptop with both ethernet
and airport wireless abiliities.

I have a 250GB oxford 922 usb2/fw400/800 drive. I am trying to make my FW
drive play nicely with my Beige G3 tower. It's got a Powerlogix Rapidfire
USB/FW400 card. It's partitioned into 3 ~70GB partitions (initially I
thought it was because i originally had two partitions, but ...

I'm a very happy mac user except for the fact that the keyboard doesn't

How easy is it for a computer literate home user to put an Airport Extreme
card into a Mac Mini? Cancom in Brighton told me it was not simply a case of
slotting the card in but that 'something else has to be changed by the
engineer'...True or are they simply scouting for work?

Does anyone know the physical size of the internal CD drive vs. the hard
drive in a mini?  I'm wondering if it would be possible to put 2 hard
drives in a mini and get rid of the optical drive.  They both use the
same ATA connector, right?  I'm sure you'd need to secure it ...

I finally retired my DV400 imac.   One small problem with it - plugging
headphones and stereo and monitor into the audio out jack all the time
(as well as having nothing plugged in), the audio out jack got work out
and had intermittent connections.

I was dumb, since my old iMovie (was it 3.0.3?) worked fine with the
Formac Studio I went ahead and bought iLife with iMovie HD (5) and the

I finally gave up trying to get my CRT to work work with the MAC Mini...
but now I have a new problem. I have a Samsung SyncMaster 193p that has
a digital connection and when connected the picture looks fine the
problem is non of the utilities that come with the SyncMaster will ...

I'm looking to get a monitor to attach to my new 15" Albook. The Planar
PX191 LCD Monitor looks intriguing: you can change between portrait or
landscape by rotating the monitor. However, I couldn't find a
definitive statement that it would work on a Mac: Does it?

I'm thinking of getting an iMac with the bluetooth keyboard and mouse (and
WiFi, of course, I've declared war against wires).  What I'm afraid of is
battery life.  I've got a Kensington wireless mouse which needs new
batteries every few weeks.  It's a real pain in the butt.

I'm just in the process of moving to a new iMac.
However...
I have heard that Apple and Canon XM 2 (which I have) do not like each
other much. It is impossible to capture videos from this camera using
