According to what a tech' in the "Enterprise" section of Apple told me,

Internal or external21 Mar 2005 17:19 GMT2
I want to get a supplementary hard drive drive basically as a clone
backup to my main drive. I'd prefer an internal, to cut down clutter on
my desk, but am uncertain about the issues of drive failure. If the
controller card goes out, am I am less likely to lose everything with an ...

Which USB 2.0 card?21 Mar 2005 14:53 GMT4
A few days ago I asked for recommendations for a USB 2.0 card to use
with my USB 1.0-only Powermac 800MHz (running 10.2.8, with an upgrade to
Tiger ASAP). One person recommended a Belkin card, another recommended
one from Keyspan, but neither explicitly said he owned the card in
Mac Mini Won't Recognise my Monitor Any More21 Mar 2005 11:16 GMT1
When I first set up my Mac Mini, straight out of the box it recognised
my LCD monitor (Hitachi 17LD4200), as it allowed me to select a number
of "widescreen" settings, used a specific colour profile for it, and
listed it in System Profile.  However, after I had to do a hard reset
Airport Express Questions21 Mar 2005 01:49 GMT1
Last week I bought an Airport Express wireless access point for my boss to
use at home use and to take on trips to use in hotels.
As a test I took it to work and plugged in a network rj45 cable and was able
to connect to the internet using a notebook with a wireless card.  The

A few months ago I had a happy solid LAN working, for the most part,
flawlessly. Four Macs running OS9, one running 8.6, one running OS 8
and one PC running Windows XP. All 7 were using Filemaker Pro, served
from the OS8 machine through FMPro Server.

external cd burner recommendation osx20 Mar 2005 00:16 GMT5
Can someone recommend (based on good personal experience) an external cd
burner for osx? My 2x Phillips one is starting to get long in the tooth,
not to mention that it's scsi, and I have to boot into my OS9 disk to
use it. I would not want an Iomega firewire burner (a friend had ...

I try to play with the powerbook sudden motion sensor. There are
some very cool applications which demonstrate what you can do with
those sensors but I could'n find any information about how to access
them. I didn't even find the source code of programms that make use
Need a USB 2.0 card, hub19 Mar 2005 08:29 GMT2
I have a 800MHz PowerMac, which has USB but not USB 2.0. I want to get a

plan to buy soon.
I have heard good things about Belkin hubs, but I know nothing about
Grappler 906F/SCSI+Serial Firmware Needed19 Mar 2005 06:12 GMT1
It looks like the Orange Micro ftp site is down and there are rumours
that they have gone out of business even though the rest of the site
is still OK.
