I recently updgraded my video card on my 1.4gHz quicksilver OSX10.3.7
mac to a radeon 9800.  This card has only dvi and vga ports, so to use
my 17" lcd apple studio display i purchased the apple dvi to adc
adapter.  Everything seems to be working great but I can no longer turn

If a PC keyboard is used on a Mac mini, what keystroke combination is
the equivalent of open-Apple (or close-Apple)?

A young friend of mine with a Mac has 160 songs in an iTunes library,
and wants to send me a list of them, i.e., title/artist. I myself use
a Win98 computer and am not familiar with Mac commands, software, etc.
And my Win98 system doesn't allow for iTunes, which requires Win2000

I have a G4 500 which I upgraded to a Giga Designs 1450 Mhz and everything
worked fine for a while but a couple of days ago, my power supply blew
[electric smell and UPS back up registered an overload - some kind of short
i guess]. Anyway, the computer is dark. The power supply ...

My screen is still bright, but there is very little contrast (letters
are grey instead of black), and when I move the contrast scale, nothing
changes. There is also quite a bit of flicker.  Is it time to buy a new
one, or can it go on a long time like this?  I'm not convinced ...

I don't trust RAM, no matter  _who_  makes it.   The individual RAM
cells are so tiny, and there are so many of them.   It doesn't take
much of a manufacturing defect to mess things up.
Like others out there, I sometimes get intermittant failures in OSX.

I had my girlfriend install panther on her new external firewire hard

my wife¹s iMac G4(superdrive) but not on my PowerMac G4.

I have an Apple branded IBM drive in it that works great, but I am
trying to get it to recognise a Seagate Barracuda ST32550W, and Disk
Utility for os x 10.2.8 does not even see it.

I've got a Pyro A/V Link interfacing a VCR to my iBook (G3-800, 10.2.8)
via firewire.  I'd like to be able to use the iBook to simply watch
the incoming video, i.e. as a TV.  What's available as a player?
