I've now got two diferent answers:
The NYC Soho store said that opening the case would violate the warrenty,
and I just spoke with a Mike at the Online Store phone number and he said
that it would not Violate the Warranty - "however if you needed warrenty

effective).

Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite and OSX -- will this work?27 Jan 2005 06:18 GMT1
I've read several folks are using the Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite
with OSX, and I'd love to give this a shot -- but is there anyway to
map certain keys to do certain tasks?  Like map the Windows key to the
Open Apple key (or whatever it's called now'days).
$100 worth the extra stuff in Mini Mac?27 Jan 2005 01:12 GMT8
Question for those with more experience with the Macs then I... is it
worth spending $100 extra for 170Mhz and 40 Gigs of HD space?  I have a
Firewire IDE drivebay I'll use, so drivespace isn't an issue, and for
what I do I'm not sure if an extra 170Mhz will really make much of a
USB 2.0 plug-in card, hub ?26 Jan 2005 17:58 GMT2
I have a dual 800MHz Quicksilver Powermac and I want to get an iPod
shuffle, so I need to install a good USB 2.0 card (and a USB 2.0 hub)
since this unit only has USB 1.1.
I did a google search and only found an old review of an IO USB 2.0
Powerbook/iBook with Bluetooth?26 Jan 2005 17:55 GMT1
A friend of mine is interested in getting an Apple laptop, but she'd
prefer to use an external keyboard with it. She really likes the idea of
a wireless Bluetooth keyboard, but neither of us know if one can be
used. I looked through apple.com and didn't see anything.
Help picking up a bluetooth keyboard26 Jan 2005 17:09 GMT1
I've been looking for a while a good keyboard combo with bluetooth; that
I can use on my Pc and my mini mac. Logitech's and Microsoft's said
they're only compatible with Pc. All the other ones are not really
ergonomic or apealing. Can use a bluetooth keyboard designed for pc on
New iPod shuffle conga...26 Jan 2005 15:40 GMT1
If anyone is looking for a conga for a free iPod shuffle, here is a new
one that just started up.  It doesn't have many people on yet so you
can get in early. These sites are really the only chance at getting a
free iPod and do actually work.  Give it a shot if you're interested.
iPod Shuffle26 Jan 2005 15:37 GMT9
The iPod Shuffle was confirmed today.  Read the full and current
article: http://comp.modblog.com
The new iPod - iPod Shuffle, is a flashbased player unlike the previous
iPods which were all hard-drive digital music players.
Keyboard/mouse for Mac mini?26 Jan 2005 05:02 GMT4
I have little experience with Macs, so I thought I'd ask here: can the
Mac mini (or other Macs) use regular USB mice and keyboards, or do you
have to get ones specifically designed for Macs? $78 US for a genuine
Apple keyboard and mouse seems a trifle steep.
outputing mac screen to DV Camcorder via firewire26 Jan 2005 01:26 GMT3
I have the following problem: I would like to capture everything
happening on the screen of a laptop (a Titanium G4 -- mac -- in my

Recommendations for new system?25 Jan 2005 17:59 GMT2
I'm considering replacing my antiquated beige G3. I'd like to be able to input
video from my mini-DV camcorder, edit the video, and produce dvd's. What's the
minimum I need, in hardware and software, to be able to do all that?
Best Powered Mic for IMac G525 Jan 2005 17:29 GMT1
My brother and I are interested in doing some voice overs in a few
movies we produced and the built in mic just isn't cutting it.   What
is the best powered mic that will produce the best voice overs or " if
we got spicy and wanted to put a custom song on there?
What else can use the Mini's pre-installed 256 MB RAM?25 Jan 2005 16:21 GMT5
I am considering buying a couple of Minis for my office. We'd want to
upgrade the RAM to 1 GB, but I'm put off by Apple's price for that
upgrade. So the question is, what other devices (we have several G4s,
old iMacs, one eMac) could use the 256 MB chip pulled from the Mini?
