After a power outage, my mirrored drive door G4 won't start:  While I
hold the power buttin in, it lights up, but nothing else happens (no
drives or fans start).  When I let go of the ppower button, it dims out,

I have a G4 PowerMac and an LCD Studio Display in need of repair. I
want to use an  older Apple MultipleScan 1705 Display as a temporary
replacement while the Studio Display is in the shop. Is thera an
inexpensive video card or adapter that I can use?

Anyone know if it's possible to transfer data from the mac apps ical
and address book to the palm desktop?
I've tried a couple times to export/import w/o success. Seems neither
of the mac apps will export a common PIM

i dont know much about macs yet (im a pc guy) and im trying to fix my
gfs imac.
when you boot, or attempt to boot i should say, you get that question
mark thing.  i did the thing to see all the disk partitions, cds etc.

i use an G4 iMac with 512 MB under panther.
when i fire put my standard set of apps (mail, addressbook, safari and
emacs) the activity monitor tells me that only 10 MB or so are free.
does this mean i should upgrade my ram?

I have a Dell 2000fp flat panel that I am trying to use with my

refresh rate, but I can not change the monitor perferences in the
control panel from 640 x 480 67hz. There is no other options. How do I
get a list of perferences.

A while back, I upgraded the internal drive of my G3 iMac with a larger Maxtor
drive.  Shortly after that, it became noticeably louder, sort of like a small
bandsaw.  It's not making any grinding or scraping sounds, and it's been
functioning great, but it's definitely louder than I ...

Needing an extension cable for  an ApplePro keyboard.  Just want to make
it longer but do not know what one I need. Want it to connect to the
cable from the keyboard to make it longer and then connect to the Mac.

Does anyone know if there's a fix for this?  I've discovered that the
DVD drive is the cause of all the kernel panics I've been having
on my G4 (I purchased both in January).  Can the DVD be fixed? or should
I just trash it and get another one that doesn't cause the panics?

I have a powerbook 1400 that I want to get either a NIC card or combo
NIC/modem card for. I found one about a year ago that was on back order for a
while, so I gave up. It was ~$70. I am running OS 8.1, so it's hard to find.

I'm planing to buy a brand new 15'' Powerbook to replace my aging
550Mhz TiBook on Monday.
My question is: how to make an exact replica of the Ti's hard-drive
