how to reset ipod30 Sep 2004 17:28 GMT1
I have an ipod I am selling because I bought a new one. My new one is
synched up to my iTunes. Before I sell the old one, how do I erase it
and reset it as if it was new? I don't want my iTunes copied to my old
iPod - I want it wiped clean.
Duo 210 Power Supply Connector29 Sep 2004 23:32 GMT3
I have aquired an old Duo 210.  I'd like to get it fired up (yes I'm a
pathetic retro nerd) but do not have the Apple power supply.  Does anyone
know the type of connector and the pin outs?  From the outside it looks like
a simple RCA phono connector, but looking in through the hole ...
Problem erasing CD-RWs29 Sep 2004 22:43 GMT1
I've been using Toast, which until recently did a good job, but now on
two of my disks, after I erase it (using Full Erase) the system (9)
doesn't recognize the disk. Other disks get formatted ok. Anyone else
have this problem? With just one disk I'd say it was the disk, but
Beware of Occasional Defect in Wireless Mouse29 Sep 2004 19:34 GMT4
I've encountered a defect in some wireless mice that ultimately prevents you
from using the mouse to perform drag and drops.  This is a mechanical
defect.  It's not in all mice, but when it happens most likely someone from
Apple will tell you it's supposed to be that way.  You can ...
Apple Care question29 Sep 2004 17:29 GMT1
I am considering a new iMac.  I have heard that problems with the
display is likely to be the major problem (assuming that the "cooling
system" works adequately).
Are potential problems with the display enough reason to opt for Apple
SE/30 parts questions29 Sep 2004 07:14 GMT7
I recently received an old SE/30 that's in pretty sorry shape, and
needs some work done. I don't have all the tools and the parts I need,
though, so I was hoping that someone out there could tell me:
Where can I get a case cracker?
How Burn CDs in G3 Beige28 Sep 2004 21:36 GMT2
Recently I bought a used Beige G3 Desktop with system 9.2.2 installed.
It didn't come with the system CD with all the Read Mes, etc. It
includes a built-in CD-ROM drive that I examined with Apple System
Profiler. The report was that "Apple Disc Burning" is "supported" by the
Video Capture for G4 ibook28 Sep 2004 19:52 GMT7
I bought a G4 iBook via mail order, and it arrived yesterday. I've
been playing around with it and have a question.
I would like to be able to do video capture and screen shots from
my VCR (not a video camera). From what I've been able to discern
Beware LaCie Ethernet Disk with Mac OS X28 Sep 2004 19:22 GMT11
Mac OS X users looking to buy LaCie's new Ethernet Disk need to be aware
that these Ethernet disks, being advertized by LaCie as "for Mac OS X",
do not in fact work with Mac OS X because the disk is actually a Windows
box with file names limited to 31 characters.
iPod Flicker Screen Problem28 Sep 2004 12:06 GMT1
Hello; I have a screen problem, and by reading other posts on
Apple/Support, this does not seem to be the "rainbow effect" problem.
When I unplugged my 20GB 3G iPod this morning (it was charging,
FireWire cable plugged into the AC wall charger), I noticed a "screen
Processor speed vs RAM memory for performance?28 Sep 2004 11:00 GMT4
I am considering the purchase of a used computer on eBay.  There are
many G4 computers with lower processor speeds but with tons of RAM
memory and vice versa.  Which is more improtant when judging overall
performance of the computer? Is it worth spending more for increased
What is a good Laser Printer?27 Sep 2004 21:48 GMT2
We realy need a laser printer for our family of workers and students.
Inkjets cost too much, and I've heard cost per page is much lower with a laser
printer than with inkjets, and quality is naturaly much better-
I do know that I should look for a laser printer that provides a new ...
Apple MS 20 Display M1823 gone green27 Sep 2004 20:16 GMT1
My trusty MS20 has gone intermitantly green. The green is like a
overall very strong wash, pretty much unusable since it's so intense.
When it's working OK it's such an excellent display, sharp as a tack.
I'd hate to toss the old girl if there's something I can do to keep her

So i've got this g4 Powerbook and it has a PCI slot on the side, that i
couldnt even figure out what it was at first, and i never thought much
about it before.  But today i have too much time on my hands i guess.
