PowerMail and iPhone28 Feb 2010 14:47 GMT5

Non-iPhoto images on Apple TV28 Feb 2010 08:17 GMT1
Just acquired and set up an Apple TV.
Generally works very well, easy to set up, does what I expected. Slight
problems caused by my firewall but I think that is sorted.
Because I prefer to edit photos with another application, I don't have

Iphone number wrong27 Feb 2010 20:25 GMT3
The number shown on my O2 PAYG iPhone as "My Number" in Settings>Phone
and at the top of Phone>Contacts is not in fact my number.  I suspect
this is because I transferred my number from another mobile when I
bought it.  Is there some way to correct it?
[iPhone] Well, the fecker's arrived.27 Feb 2010 12:29 GMT57
But what terrible instructions! I need it all laid out as if to a child.
Usually you get a huge book with these things.
In iTunes now setting it all up. I assume 3.1.3 is ok.
If thing gets me a job and multiple orgasms, I may allow it to stay.
Iphone app and news.individual.net26 Feb 2010 20:55 GMT35
I found an app called NewsTap lite for the iPhone - but they want a name
and password to get onto news.individual.net. Lord, where do I find
this? I reg'd with them 7 years ago.
Plus, scroll arrows on the iPhone would be great.
PDF Lab26 Feb 2010 16:57 GMT6
Anyone using PDF Lab for unlocking PDF files?  Saw it on one of the other
groups but I downloaded it and couldn't get it to work.
Opera is hopeless :-(26 Feb 2010 16:04 GMT42
I started using Opera a month ago and really liked it's speed and style.
However I have now had to abandon it.
The two biggest, but not sole problems are....
Opera will not let me use Hotmail email. It goes to the email page and

Having just got back from hols with an iPhone holder in our party, I've
decided the time has come. Couple of questions:
I figure PAYG is cheaper by about £200 for me over the two years of a
contract, including the cost of year 2 wireless. Is this £200 likely to
Cookie conundrum26 Feb 2010 07:42 GMT116
A friend of mine who is quite paranoid about security has become
curious about cookies, and has noticed some strange behaviour on her
iMac.  (2.4 GHz Intel iMac running Snow Leopard with everything up to
date.)
Powah!25 Feb 2010 20:58 GMT64
We had a power outage yesterday. We'd been getting ominous flickering
for the past two days, then while I was on the iG5, just saving a

This happened last year, and EDF fixed it within a few hours; it was a
