convenient. The trouble is, this is what I have done for the last two or

Discounted MacBooks in PC World31 Aug 2008 17:39 GMT18
Maybe I had missed it but I was surprised to note that anyone signing up
for a Mobile Broadband tariff in PC World can get a fairly hefty

Does it play well with your iPod? Any limitations compared with iTunes?
At some point I will take the plunge and get an iPod but iTunes has put
me off so far.

Keynote 3.0.2 installed on my machine. What I need to know is, just how
compatible Keynote is with Powerpoint ? Would she run into problems ...

MobileMe Mail: set UK date format?31 Aug 2008 15:39 GMT8
After by rare sojourn into MobileMe's web front-end yesterday, I've
been poking about a little. One irritation is that the Mail app is
showing dates in US format, and I can't see how to change it. Is there
some preference I can set, hidden where I haven't seen it?

Where can I recycle a 12-inch Powerbook battery in the UK?30 Aug 2008 22:41 GMT2
It's a Mercury-free one made in 2004. Apple's own website is a miracle
of flannel with no practical advice whatsoever. Anyone got an address

Twitterific Query30 Aug 2008 19:05 GMT-
What does 'Include replies from people who follow you' actually mean in
Twitterific prefs?
As far as I can see it means 'keep replies from people who follow you
lurking at the bottom of the list forever'.

Some bloke on ebay has asked me "Would it be possible for you to tap the
serial number into the Apple website and let me know when the warranty

Does anyone know whereabouts "on the Apple website" one does this? I can
MobileMe: http not https?30 Aug 2008 12:43 GMT6
Just logged in to mobileme.com, something I rarely do, to get a URL for
a file I've put in my public folder. After logging in, the URL I'm
seeing is http://www.mobileme.com/idisk.
Er...http? Not https? Seems a little slack doesn't it?

But it's not working.
The bottom row of buttons on the soft keyboard doesn't work - pushing
Apple Store Delivery Times29 Aug 2008 21:47 GMT5

when it will arrive. The Apple store only seems to say
when an order will be dispatched.
Am I missing something here?
