I am getting very bad inteface lag after upgrading to Ver 2.0 software,

Yellow "stain" on my display28 Jul 2008 19:52 GMT11
I just had something rather disturbing happen on my iMac. I have added
some new memory and when I turned it back on there was a peculiar
yellow "stain" just below the middle of the screen - about the same
size as the Apple logo. It looked a bit like the burn mark you get if

How do I check exactly which type of memory module I need to buy for
an upgrade?

Bristol Apple Store?28 Jul 2008 16:55 GMT59
Anyone have any idea of the progress of the Apple Store due to open in
the new Cabot Circus development?
Is there any chance whatsoever that I will be able to wander in there by
the end of August? I don't want to trek all the way up to Solihull just
Time Machine, NAS, sparsebundles (slight return)28 Jul 2008 14:56 GMT4
The weekend's tinkering has yielded a spare 3.5" 300GB SATA drive,
after I upgraded my SkyHD box to a 500GB one.  Thinking of a use for
this drive I thought I'd mess about with a FreeNAS box on an old PC
recycled from the cellar, and I noted that FreeNAS can serve up shares

Dell now in shops!27 Jul 2008 23:08 GMT19
I see Dell machines are being sold at PC World. Is this a bit of a
change of plan? They always seemed so proud of only selling them direct!

Can you combine orders on the Apple Store?27 Jul 2008 19:01 GMT1
Have ordered a refurb Nano and a Nike Plus kit (see other thread), and
have just realised I should have ordered an armband at the same time. I
can't see a way to add another item to the order, and doing a separate
order starts bringing in delivery costs.

Has anyone seen any references to higher capacity internal drives that can be
used in existing MacBook Air machines?

Nokia Multimedia Transfer27 Jul 2008 13:29 GMT2
If this is old news please forgive me. I just had a look at the Nokia
site and there is software to download for the Mac. I was stunned. It
is still Beta but it works OKish for me.
It downloaded all the photos from the camera and put the into iPhoto.
MSN Messenger27 Jul 2008 12:01 GMT-
Before I start digging too deeply, is it just me that cant connect to

It just keeps saying that I have no Internet connection (I do).
Time Machine question.27 Jul 2008 11:37 GMT19
I just want to know if I'm doing this right.
2 Macbook Pros's backing up with Time Machine over ethernet to a
partitioned Lacie Quadra 1TB firewire drive attached to a Cube running
Leopard. The Cube also acts as a media server.
