I have two iMacs, one at home and one at work. Both have MSOffice2000.
At home the arrow keys work normally, they move the focus from cell to
cell, up and down - side to side.
At work they move the whole SHEET.... and I cannot find where somehting

just discovered my imac is turning itself on at 1 am. I checked the
energy saver info but there is no auto on.

A friend, who does not have a PC, asked me to record a Radio 4 program
from their play again. Unfortunately the program is only available as
real audio not as a podcast. Are there any free or shareware programs
that can capture the audio stream. I know I can plug a tape recorder

Anyone wanting iWork 08, I now have 2 full versions of it. I have one

Can I configure Spotlight (on the menu-bar) to respond to a quick
double-tap of a key instead of (or ideally, as well as) the usual
command-space? Obviously I mean keys like command, option, or caps lock,
rather than the letter or number keys!

I'm overhauling a website originally constructed in Frontpage 6 and as
you can imagine, the coding is really horrible. I'm trying to tidy it
up, dispense with millions of font tags etc. There are about 120 pages
involved.

This little app called Today looks useful as an add-on to iCal and OmniFocus.
It's a helper app that gives you a view of your iCal events and tasks, much
like the MyDay [1] window does on Office 2008. See:

For anyone interested in Cocoa programming. Have a look at the URL below. It
has the presentation slides and other stuff from the Cocoa programming course
at Stanford University from this year. Given by Apple staff. The lectures
don't seem to be on iTunesU, which is a pity.

i am purchasing my new macbook next saturday, just so i can make sure
