Back in the days of yore I used to able to connect to the machines on my
work network over the VPN by their local name, by adding entries to a
"hosts' file somewhere in the system of my machine at home.

Just now, in the middle of using the ball to scroll down a webpage in
Firefox, suddenly the page started to scroll the other way.
Now, the ball won't scroll down at all. If I scroll down with it, it
actually scrolls up. If I scroll up, it continues to scroll up.

Can you set Safari on OSX 10.5.2 to open anything other than default

I'm running Leopard (not server), and I've managed to get the standard
postfix configured satisfactorily (I've tested it).
How do I get it to start at boot? I've Googled around.

Yesterday we went to Exeter, and I thought that as I was there I would visit
the applestore as my power supply for the macbook pro was going funny,
sometimes it just didn't connect well and you had to turn the power socket
the other way up.

I have an SD card I need to put a 'boot flag' on (to use in something else).
I can format as FAT16 with disc utility - but is there anyway I can set this
'boot flag'?

anyone seen this?  MBP, 10.5.2, has been working fine up until last
week.  Now, on return from sleep, the (wireless) internet connection's
hosed.  It's on Sky BB, if it makes a difference using their sky-
branded Netgear 834 router.
