I'm just trying to play a 720p WMV file in Quicktime, and it plays smoothly for a couple of seconds, and then goes very jerky. Is anyone else having the same problem? Seems to be working fine in VLC...

Was at my father-in-law's today and his G4/400 (10.4.11) wont boot. It hangs on the grey apple screen with the spinning wheelie thing. I can hear the hard drive is whirring and clicking but it never boots up. I had my Tiger and Panther install discs with me but restarting with ...

I'm trying out Bento and I'm quite pleased with it. I've used it to make a recipe book, putting all the things i like to cook into one place, with checkboxes for vegetarian and other dietary requirements so that i can easily filter for ideas for any guests i might have etc...

I'm taking a holiday from Omniweb and using Safari. With keychain, OW was good as gold and picked up every login I had. Now I've changed my primary browser to Safari, I thought that Keychain would just follow on and hand over the passwords to, say, Amazon etc.

This relates to another thread (Lethargic iMac). Googling this issue suggests that I might delete the asl.db file. Here's some advice from Apple: You can improve performace by stopping syslogd, removing the asl.db
